Your Life is Up to You: Small Decisions Shape & Define Us

Is this choice going to help take me where I want to go in my life and result in long-term satisfaction or is it only for immediate gratification and more likely to pull me off the road I want to be on?

The most easily understood example of this is when a person wants to lose weight or just get healthy by eating a good diet, but the opportunity to have something you know isn’t part of that plan is when it’s “decision time”. What do you do?

Or… you make a plan to get up early each morning so you have time to practice your martial arts – but when the morning comes you decide to roll over instead of rolling out and then it’s too late to get that practice you planned.

The very act of not doing what you planned results in a lower self esteem and supports a belief system that says, “It’s just too hard” or “I can’t”.

On the other hand, the act of sticking with your commitments no matter what will develop a powerful self image that says, “I can accomplish anything.”

Are these small choices insignificant? In reality it’s the small things in life that defines us over the long-haul.

Your life really is up to you.
