What is a “good question”? A good question is one that will help to guide you in the direction you want to go in life.
Anyone who takes up the activity of martial arts training has certain reasons. Maybe it’s to get in shape, lose weight, feel more confident, self protection, etc. You have your reasons and they are likely because you want to be better in some way.
On the days when things aren’t quite going your way or you feel stressed or just plain tired, how do you decide to get to class (or not get to class)? You can make dozens of excuses why you can miss class tonight. That’s easy. But have you thought about making dozens of reasons why you must go to class?
When you are deciding whether or not attend one of your martial arts classes, close your eyes and ask yourself the following good questions: Will going to class make me feel better or worse? Will going to class bring me closer to the brighter future I imagine for myself or keep me as I am today?
These questions can bring clarity to the choice you are about to make. Instead of running on autopilot and going with whatever emotional state you are in at the moment, bring more consciousness into the decision-making process. These kinds of questions are what can change the direction of a life.
Are you heading in the direction you want for your life? Why not give it some thought and create what you want?
