When you have a decision to make, big or small, try asking yourself, “Which choice will help to bring me where I want to go in the future, and which choice will keep me in the past?”
Those who are moving in the direction of their dreams seem to have everything on their side. They have almost limitless energy and the right opportunities pop up seemingly out of nowhere. They tend to love and fully experience life.
There are also those who seem to never have things go their way. The world is against them and everyday is a struggle. Life is a burden, and they keep wishing to win the lottery so life could magically become easy. They’re waiting for their ship to come in and frequently start sentences with, “If only…”
We all make choices everyday: what we eat, what we do with our time, who we spend time with, whether or not we practice or meditate, etc. Thing is, everything counts, and each choice can bring you closer or further from the future you want.
Coming out of your comfort zone can reveal a whole new reality. Staying with things the way they are even when you’re not happy with it keep us in the past.
Are you just choosing the unhappiness you know over the risk of the unknown, even though great rewards may await you?
Life is time. How are you spending yours?
